Clothing Works: A clothing bank and vocational training program

The long-standing and popular Helpline House clothing bank welcomes community donations of gently used clothing, bedding and towels for use by neighbors who are facing challenging times. (A comprehensive list of alternative donation sites for other items is available upon request.)

The clothing bank also offers opportunities for pre-vocational assessment and skill building for adults with developmental disabilities who work side-by-side with county-contracted, professional job developers in a structured environment. Community partners include the Bainbridge Island School District Adult Living Program, and regional supported employment service providers.

The Clothing Bank is located in the "barn" on Helpline House property and the new hours of operation starting October 24th will be:

Monday and Wednesday
9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Appointments for shopping are necessary. Donations accepted during Helpline's open hours. Please contact Donna Dahlquist at 206-842-7621, ext. 30.

Please, do not leave donations outside at any time when Helpline is closed.
