Construction Corner Update 7/29/25

Foundation to Build On

Welcome to Construction Corner, the blog for everyone who is excited to see the latest updates about the progress of our project to build a new Helpline House. Let's start with the goal in mind. Here are a few renderings of our new 12,750 sq. foot building-

Welcome to Helpline House! Our new home will be beautiful and functional to best serve our Island community.

ree

Our Sustainable Home The new building is thoughtfully designed for efficiency, accessibility and sustainability. Solar panels, curbless parking, electronic doors and interior elevators reduce costs, preserve the environment and provide a welcoming space for all.

ree

The Lobby Accessible through our "one front door for all". The lobby is welcoming and accessible to the market or second floor via elevator.

The Market At 924 sq. ft. the new market will be nearly 3 times larger than the old Market and will feature walk-in refrigerator and walk-in freezer.

Goodbye Old Friend Built in 1982, our building was a beacon of hope for Islanders in need and the hub of Neighbor Helping Neighbor for 42 years.

Crowded House Over the years, the needs of our community overwhelmed the capacity of our building- and left little elbow room for our volunteers!

We’re part of such an amazing community that really brings hope to our neighbors in need. A huge shout out to all the wonderful volunteers who are out there doing good, making new friends, and keeping the spirit of giving alive right here on Bainbridge! Let’s keep it going!
