Are you experiencing financial management difficulties

with your budget, credit and/or debt management?

Financial Coaching is a client‐driven process through a Helpline House's social worker referral in which individuals and families work to reach personalized goals related to improving their financial well‐being.

Requesting a referral

 

1. Make a cost-free confidential appointment with a Helpline House social worker. The social worker will evaluate your concern and, if necessary, make a referral to the financial counselor.

2. Visit the front desk to make a cost-free appointment with a Financial Counselor.

How can financial counseling help you?

Support for new behaviors and skills. Through in-depth reviews and one-on-one meetings you will understand your money management problems, learn key goals to help prioritize your expenses and create a budget by 

  • Creating a self‐directed process by engaging in active listening and critical questioning.

  • Gaining beneficial financial habits that will support healthy long term financial behaviors.

  • Learning to be the expert on your specific need(s), goal(s), and choice(s) and to set reasonable goals and timelines.

Helpline House Food Bank and Social Services of Bainbridge Island

Helpline House is a community non-profit agency providing an umbrella of social services striving to help our Bainbridge Island neighbors to meet essential needs.  Basic services are provided cost-free, regardless of income.  Needs are defined broadly and not always financial.  Any community member in crisis or in need of consultation is welcome.
