SAVE THE DATE Monday, February 3 is Hunger Action Day 2020!
During each legislative session, the Anti-Hunger & Nutrition Coalition hosts Hunger Action Day in Olympia and highlights issues facing hungry families in Washington State, and brings their stories and priorities to legislators in the positions to make change that reduces hunger.
Each year more than 150 advocates come together for a morning of discussion about issues facing lawmakers, information about our anti-hunger priorities, and advocacy training so you and your fellow advocates are prepared to meet with legislators in the afternoon.
We encourage you to join the anti-hunger advocates, bring your colleagues, board members, volunteers, neighbors and family to make your voices heard.
You can advocate for strategic policy and state appropriations to maximize federal nutrition programs, reinforce our community-based emergency food assistance system, and link local farmers with the needs of the hungry.
Hunger Action Day is an inspiring day that shows lawmakers how important your work is and how Washington can do better to fight hunger - all while giving you great skills and experience.
