Kids' Holiday Program & Senior Giving Tree

Updated: Nov 16, 2020

Recreated for 2020, the Kids' Holiday and Senior Giving Tree Programs collect and distribute $25 merchant gift cards to Helpline House households.

What🚀

There are very few gifts, if any, when a household is trying to make ends meet. We hope this holiday gift program gives clients the freedom to choose and spark imagination. As you can tell, this year's holiday program is designed to support our local merchants, keep everyone safe, and ignite curiosity in the eyes of those who need it the most.

When🚀

These upcoming special winter programs will be distributing your in-kind donations to children and seniors visiting the curbside food bank starting the second week of December for two weeks. Donations are gratefully accepted weekday mornings from 9 to 11 am, except Wednesdays. Find a list of suggestions at helplinehouse.org/kids-holiday-program

Why🚀

Your holiday donation from local merchants will support local businesses, local children, and seniors 65+ years young that need it the most! If you can, please donate a holiday in-kind $25 gift card(s) from a local business. We will distribute them to children under 18 years old and seniors 65+ years young.

Ready? Get set. Go! 🚀

Visit an Island business: Calico Cat, Eagle Harbor Book Store, Ace Hardware, Rite Aid, or local grocery stores to pick up a $25 gift card and deliver to Helpline House during donation mornings; weekday mornings 9 to 11 am, except Wednesdays.

Share, Connect, Launch🚀

This request is community-wide, so please share with your neighborhood, book club, walking group, and others you want to call to action. Gather (virtually) and work together for a Healthy & Whole Community now until December 7. Thank you in advance for inspiring Island neighbors to make this a successful launch for local children and seniors.

Questions?🚀

Of course, you may contact us with any questions or creative plans to help give our neighbors a holiday $25 gift card. Email volunteerservices@helplinehouse.org

Thank You!🚀

Thank You for putting Helpline House's mission into action this holiday. You can be sure that our neighbors will get warmth, comfort, and joy this season because of you. Thank you for all your help during this time of hope, imagination, and beyond!

We’ve Moved—Just Around the Corner!

Helpline House is now temporarily located at 901 Hildebrand Lane, near the north end of Ericksen Avenue, for approximately 12 months during the construction of our new facility. Thanks to a lease partnership with Clark Construction and the support of our board and volunteer Michael Wright, we continue to offer uninterrupted services to the community.

“As we transition to our new space, we remain deeply committed to serving Bainbridge Island with care and compassion,” said Maria Metzler, Executive Director. “We’re excited about what’s ahead and grateful to stay connected during this time of growth.”

Closed: Christmas, New Year's Day, MLK Day, Presidents' Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Fourth of July, Labor Day and Thanksgiving weekend.
